Trying to capitalize on the the T.V. show '24', this political action thriller puts Kiefer Sutherland (afore mentioned '24') as a govenrment agent in charge of tracking down the would be assassin to the President(surprise surprise). When all clues lead to Michael Douglas, his fellow secret service agent and former best friend, a "Fugutive"-like cat and mouse game ensues. While Sutherland chases him, Douglas tracks down the real assassins meanwhile feeding his clues to the agent assigned to help Sutherland find Douglas. That agent, played by Eva Langoria (desperate housewives) had very little imput and could have been removed from the movie altogther if she weren't easy on the eyes; and her trust and comfort with Douglas' Peter Garrison character seemed a little out of sync with such a manhunt. Nonetheless it was good to see her on the big screen. She seemed like small potatos however next to the orignial sex symbol, Kim Bassinger who played the President's wife and love interest to Agent Garrison. All in all, your heart still raced like you were watching Bauer at CTU and the world needed saving one more time. 3 beers all around. The action was good, the women were beautiful and despite an anticlimactic ending, I'd see it again. But that's just my opinion.
