What if in real life the security people in the US worked as well as in the movies?
PRESS CONFERENCE:immediately after a terrorist attack in New Orleans,there is a press conference in which one person speaks.That person is intelligent,articulate,candid,and knowledgeable.
What Americans have come to expect is a group of security people who grandstand,who are obnoxious in their refusal to answer questions,who either do not know or are not about to reveal anything,but still insist in hogging the limelight.

PREVENTING TERRORIST ATTACKS: in Deja Vu,using advanced technology and the heroism of Denzel Washington,it is possible to prevent a terror attack in New Orleans.
THis movie was filmed on location before,during,and after the KATRINA disaster in New Orleans.For the budget of this film you could have fixed the levees,evacuated victims,and provided housing.

Starting with Roman Dictators and perfected by Italian Fascists,the formula for controling the mob is bread and circus.Let us see how this formula applies to New Orleans.

In New Orleans is a $200,000,000 stadium-similar to the Houston Astrodome,which is where the Katrina refugees ended up.If you had spent the $400,000,000 on infrastructure and education you would not have disoriented poor people incapable of helping themselves.

In the movie the FBI and ATF have super secret techology that protects New Orleans from Terrorism.Neither Communism nor Terrorism is the problem.The problem is STUPID FASCISM,INCOMPETENT FASCISM.Whatever secret technology the gov has,it did not prevent September 11 or Katrina.And in ordinary times,the area surrounding the Houston Astrodome is a hell-hole of slums,as is the one in New Orleans.

In Switzerland they do not have $200,000,000 stadiums or $200,000,000 movies,they also do not have slums.Switzerland does have an educated citizenry,genuine democracy,and a very high quality of life.

If you liked Enemy of the State and Minority Report,you will love Deja Vu!Even if you did not believe the technology in these movies,they were an excuse for terrific visuals.Here the excuse is a secret project:SNOW WHITE.In practice it is a war room with wall-to-wall video coverage of anything in the world.At first this is explained as coming from an array of 7 spy satellites and later into a time travel view into the past,always 4 days.
AS soon as the focus is off SNOW WHITE the movie falls off a cliff like the cayote in the Road Runner cartoons.Instead of a team using billion dollar technology to save the world,we have Denzel Washington following his own instincts and his own love interest.Hell with that!
Snow White is turned into a voyouristic toy to follow a now dead woman around her house 4 days ago as she changes her clothes and all the men in the control room get off on it!This is not Hitchcock's Rear Window,this is CSI in motion,an expensive snuff film.
Hitchcock was driven by a personal vision,Bruckheimer is not,he is in it for the money, so he must know that snuff films is what some huge segment of the US population want.
The terrorist acts in this film are carried out by a lone white guy.Other than Oklahoma,the last time they blamed a lone white guy was when Kennedy got assasinated.Interestingly,this movie premiered November 22.THere are no Arab or Muslim terrorists in the film,nor is there any reference to their connections to terrorism.Did the Saudis finance this movie?
At some point they go beyond seeing into the past to actual time travel.Everyone willl have their own idea of what crucial event in history should be changed,given one opportunity,but sending Denzel Washington to save his love interest aint it.
