Critic's Grade: A+

The most un-entertaining and one of the stupidest movies ever to be created.

In the year 2010 Jason Voorhees (Kane Hodder- All the Jason films) is being executed when he breaks free and wreaks havoc. When he is captured and frozen his latest victim is frozen with him. Centuries later in 2455 a group of students are on a field trip when they come across the two bodies. Now knowing who he is, they decide to take the bodies up on their spaceship and unfreeze. When they unfreeze the women (Lexa Doig) they learn that Jason can not be resurrected and is dead, but when an unsuspecting scientist is murdered and others being dying quickly the crew must band together and stop the new upgraded Jason.

This is one of the most boreing and stupidest films ever to be created. The acting is horrible, the special effects are uninteresting, and the film is just a complete mess. If your a big fan of the Jason series then this is your film, but if not then you're going to be completely dissapointed. I can't believe anyone whould see, star or even think about making this film.

After I heard all negative reviews about the film I decided to wait for the DVD. Well on October 12, I decided to rent it. Agreeing with the reviews this film was completely disapointing and in more ways then one. Let's see what the major flaws are:

1.) The acting is horrible. The film is casted with all unknown actors and I can see why. The performances were horrible and the jokes they used were tired and not funny. The cast must have just wanted money because this is just bad acting period. The best they can win is Razzie Awards and I wouldn't disagree with that. The acting in the film is soooo bad that it makes Mariah Carey's performance in "Glitter" seem like she should win an Academy Award for Best Actress.

2.) The special effects are completely stupid and a waste of money. The film is fluttered with special effects and they aren't even decent looking. They make the film in space and uses lots of explosions and CGI effects to make it look real but you can tell it's now. The action sequences look like tired "Power Ranger" moves and you've seen them more than once.

3.) The chills are predictable and a blind person can see them happen a mile away. The score director for the film should be fired and not allowed near an instrunment again. The music is low and you can barely hear anything. The film's twists and turns are predictable and like most horror films today you already know what's going to happen. Any whose seen the stupid and equally boreing trailor should know what's going to happen in the film.

4.) The jokes, I can't believe them. They are so stupid and Barney's Great Adventure has better jokes than in this film. The jokes are stupid and while the stupid characters are busy laughing at themselves, your sitting there and wanting to throw up and leave the movie.

I saw it on DVD and you can't believe how bored and tired of the film I was by the 12 minute into it. Nobody saw the film otherwise it would have made over $12 million at the box-office and would have gotten better reviews. The X in the title stands for X this movie and don't see it. To attract male viewers to the film, it has it's share of female nudity but even those get pretty ried.

The DVD includes the theatrical trailor (doesn't even look interesting). Two original documentaries that have behind the scenes footage. 3 other trailors for New Line Cinema films. An audio commentary by the director, producer and writer and they're all full of themselves that they can't see how boreing this film is. It also includes a "Jump to a Death" selection that lets the viewer pick a death and it shows you the death from the film.

If your looking for a good thriller to watch on a weekend then look otherwise. Just don't ever see this film period.

Out of a possible 4 stars, this film really deserves a 1 star.
