Critic's Grade: A+

A teen thriller from the writer of the "Scream" films, and actually is a great teen comedy.

Leigh Ann Watson (Katie Holmes- Disturbing Behavior, Abandoned, TV's Dawson's Creek) is the smartest and brightest student at her high-school. She has dreams of becoming a famous writer and everything seems fine until she learns her grade from Mrs. Tingle (Helen Mirren- Gosford Park, Greenfingers) the most hated teacher at Gransboro High. While doing some extra credit to help her grade one of Leigh Ann's classmates Luke (Barry Watson- Sorority Boys, TV's 7th Heaven) decides to help her ace the final exam by coping it. When Mrs. Tingle walks in and sees Leigh Ann with the test she assums that she was cheating. Determined to prove her innocent Leigh Ann, Luke, and Leigh's best friend Jo Lynn (Marisa Coughlin- Gossip, Super Troopers, TV's Wasteland) decide to talk to Mrs. Tingle at her home, but their innocent turns wrong when Mrs. Tingle has a plan of her own that will leave them all thinking different about one another.

A wild and hilarious teen comedy that didn't do so well at the box-office but actually is a great one to watch. Loaded with great comedic laughs a cool soundtrack and a cast of top celebrities this movie is wonderful.

Co-starring are Molly Ringwald (Not Another Teen Movie, The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink), Vivica A. Fox (Booty Call, Two Can Play That Game, Juwanna Mann), Marisa Jaret (Scary Movie, Broadways Hairspray) and Jeffrey Tambor (Girl, Interrupted).

Katie Holmes who used to be the side player really outshines everyone else in the cast and has all the weight of the film on her. Her previous roles including the teen thriller "Disturbing Behavior", the upcoming teen thriller "Abandoned", the critically acclaimed film "Go", the suspensful yet dramatic 2000 thriller "The Gift" and starring on the hit WB series "Dawson's Creek" all have been diverse and she really shows her sexual and funny side to her. Her performance was absolutely brilliant and she brought the character to life. Katie really proved she has what it takes to become one of America's sweethearts.

Co-stars Barry Watson and Marisa Coughlin also proved that they will soon become top notch actors. Mr. Watson really is believable and his character is much different from his role as one of Camden children on the WB hit series "7th Heavon". His portray of Luke was on point and really showed off his good looks to his teen female fans. And Ms. Coughlin is already heating up the big-screen get roles in the Tom Green unfunny comedy "Freddy Got Fingered", the 2000 teen drama "Gossip", on TV's Wasteland, and co-starring in the 2001 comedy "Super Troppers".

The film which was directed by "Scream" and "I Know What You Did Last Summer" writer Kevin Williamson actually was well directed. Williamson who usually does side writing really proved he has a talent for entertaining people. His camera angels and way he portrayaed the characters reactions and fights to things were shot just write.

If your loooking for a good teen comedy that has some sure laughs then this your movie.

Out of a possible 4 stars, this movie deserves a good 3 stars.
